FAQ

Goalie training questions

Where does PWG train goalies?
All public clinics run on Sundays at Campus Ice Centre in north Oshawa. Goalies come from across Durham Region, the east GTA and Northumberland.
Is PWG goalie-only?
Yes. Every clinic is built for goaltenders only, so every rep is for the goalie. Steve leads every clinic.
How do I book a clinic?
Open the Book page, pick a Sunday clinic with open spots, choose your goalie and pay online. Your confirmation shows up right away in your portal.
Do you offer private or semi-private goalie lessons?
Yes. Private is one goalie with one coach, and semi-private splits the ice between two or three goalies. Request it from the assessment page.
Can PWG work with our team or association?
Yes. Season Programs run goalie development for teams and associations all season, at your rink or ours. Contact us for details.
How much does goalie training cost?
A Development Clinic is $100, or $85 for 1% Club members. 1% Club clinics are $150 per session and members only, and membership is $79.99 a year per goalie.
What age does my goalie need to be?
PWG coaches goalies of every age and level, from first-year house league to AAA and junior. Each clinic groups goalies so the drills fit where they are.
What's the difference between a Development Clinic and the 1% Club?
Development Clinics are open to everyone and cover skating, positioning, rebounds, puck handling and game reads. 1% Club clinics are members only, capped at six goalies on three nets, and every one is filmed with video in your portal the same day.
What should my goalie bring?
Full goalie gear, a water bottle and skates that are sharpened. Arrive 15 minutes before ice so your goalie has time to dress and warm up.
